Tutor Biography for Andrew
Andrew is a Towson University alum who got received his Bachelor’s in Mathematics in 2010, and his Master’s in Biology in 2011. While working on his B.S., he had extensive experience with mathematics, from Calculus to Statistics to Abstract Algebra, and everything in between. He also played saxophone in the Marching Band, and understands how hard it can be balance academics and extracurricular activities. From 2009 to 2011 he worked in the Math Lab as a CRLA certified tutor.
I joined D.S. Solutions because I love math and I love helping others; becoming a math tutor, then, felt like the right thing to do. I had the opportunity to work with Devin at the Math Lab, and when I found out about what he was doing with D.S. Solutions, I signed right up. Everyone at D.S. Solutions shares a commitment to teaching others in a student-centered approach, and I’m grateful for the chance to be a part of that.
Andrew is currently a research intern at Johns Hopkins Bayview, and will be starting medical school in August 2012. While taking an array of pre-medical classes, he gained a thorough understanding of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, and would be more than willing to help students in those subjects, in addition to Math. He scored a 36R on the MCAT and is also able to help pre-medical students prepare for the MCAT exam.
